Do you take insurance for neuropsychological evaluations?

Dr. McLaren is an out-of-network provider and is happy to offer a super bill to submit to your insurance. Dr. McLaren will also provide you a reference to an insurance advocate who specializes in reimbursement. It is highly recommended and encouraged that you contact this advocate prior to the start of your evaluation process to optimize your reimbursement potential.

Do you offer sliding scale rates?

Currently, Dr. McLaren's sliding scale practice is full for therapy services. Her out of pocket fee for therapy is $200 per 50-minute appointment.


To discuss fees for neuropsychological evaluation services, please contact Dr. McLaren for a consultation to determine whether a "comprehensive" or "partial" evaluation will support your needs. Fees vary, determined by a tailored approach to what instruments are necessary to address your referral question.

Do you take insurance for therapy appointments?

Dr. McLaren is credentialed with specific insurance panels through Aetna, Optum, Oscar, Oxford, and UnitedHealthcare under a platform called Alma. Upon deciding to work together, Alma will verify your insurance, share your payment responsibility, and information about your deductible (the amount you’ll need to pay out of pocket before your insurance kicks in). What kind of payments do you take?

For all therapy and neuropsychological evaluations not eligible under the Alma insurance program, SimplePractice is utilized for billing as well as paperwork. Cash, check, credit or debit cards are accepted. It is a HIPPA compliant, secure platform, which gives you access to your account information electronically. Fees are deducted automatically for therapy appointments at the beginning of each session. A fee schedule for neuropsychological evaluations will be determined prior to commencing the assessment process.
